2) Red with red interior. I know some history on this car, it was lady owned in Colorado Springs Co. from March of 1989 through a few months ago when she sold it to a Colorado Springs dealer who I purchased it from. She bought the car with 83k miles and it now has 103k miles. At 102k miles she spent over $1800.00 on various ignition, brake, vacuum, wiper and ignition upgrades. (I have receipts) Since I bought the car I have spent over $3600 on parts and labor including a new Al Knoch top, Corvette America seat covers and foams, various interior pieces, rocker mldgs, fuel pump and too much more to mention. I have receipts for all money spent. The frame and birdcage are solid, the paint is about a 6 or 7 out of 10, the car runs and drives very well-not a show car but a really good driver. The things that need attention: blower motor, amp guage and clock, aftermarket radio. The car is well optioned with power steering, brakes, tilt-telescopic, matching hardtop-no ac. $18,601 (RnM) on November 25, 2016. 1) This is an original engine 1971 Corvette Stingray Convertible with 4 speed. It has its matching number 350/270hp engine, 4 speed M22 transmission, PS, PB, Tilt/Telescopic steering column and both the hardtop and soft top, no A/C. The original engine has been rebuilt and it runs great. It has an electronic distributor and headers. Motor sounds nice. It is an original Mille Miglia Red car (code 973) and has very good newer paint. The red interior is decent with good carpeting, but with some tears on the seats. The black soft top is worn and has some holes. The frame under the car is near mint with never any rot or repair. The car runs and drives very strong. The headlights work great and the gauges are working except the clock. The original radio has been replaced. This Corvette has a nice body, frame, paint and interior. I noticed in the photos that I didn't close the hood completely, it does line up just fine. If you are looking for a matching number Corvette Convertible that needs a little work, this is the car for you. You can tell that this car was maintained. It has a clean Colorado title. Car came from a woman who owned it over 27 years and drove it 20,000 miles in that time frame. Garaged the whole time. Sold for $19,100 on September 3, 2016. |
